Kazakhstan’s boxer Saken Bibossynov suffered a heartbreaking loss in the semifinal clash to miss out on the finals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Kazinform News Agency cites Olympic.kz.
Bibossynov of Kazakhstan lost to his opponenent from Uzbekistan Khassanboi Dussmatov by a split decision 2-3 in a tense men’s 51kg clash in the 2024 Olympics semifinal.
Lost 2-3. Congrats to my main rival on the win. I’m sorry that I could not justify the trust of our fans. I came here for a gold medal, but failed to win even bronze, Kazakhstan’s boxer Bibossynov said following the fight.
The Kazakhstani boxer promised to work on mistakes. "Thanks to all Kazakhstanis, who rooted for me. I did my utmost in the ring. A judicial decision is their decision. My thing is to act in the ring, he added.
